
In the joyful atmosphere of May Day, Sichuan Jiuniu Football Club welcomed a wave of strong reinforcements. Zhao Xuri, Yang Lei and Lu Ning officially joined the team's family.
Zhao Xuri, the 36-year-old midfielder from Dalian, Liaoning, has had quite a career trajectory. He started his career with Dalian Sedrun and has played for such prestigious clubs as Sichuan Guancheng, Dalian Shide, Shaanxi Chanba, Guangzhou Evergrande, Tianjin Quanjian and Dalian People. During his time at Guangzhou, Zhao won four Chinese Super League titles, two AFC Champions League titles and one China Super Cup glory with the team.
As a member of the national team, Zhao Xuri has been selected many times, representing China in major international tournaments such as the World Youth Championship, Beijing Olympics and Asian Cup. Facing the new owner, Zhao Xuri is full of expectations: "I am honored to join Sichuan Jiuniu. For the club's goal of the new season, I would like to do my best to help the team to create another success."
Another new addition, 29-year-old Yang Lei, from Lijiang, Yunnan Province, is a wing forward. In the 2016-2021 season, Yang Lei played for Heilongjiang Bingcheng, making 117 appearances, scoring 10 goals and assisting 4 times.
Expressing his gratitude to the club, Yang Lei said, "Thank you for the trust of the club, I am very honored to be part of this big family. I will try my best to integrate into the team and play with my own characteristics to help the goal of the new season."
24-year-old Lu Ning, from Guizhou, is a product of Beijing Renhe's youth training camp and currently plays as a goalkeeper. In the 2021 season, Luning made 16 appearances for Heilongjiang Bingcheng in the Central League.
