On September 17th, the Peruvian media "Libero" revealed the news that our former naturalized player, Xiao Tao Tao, had formally applied for reinstatement of his Peruvian citizenship.
Going back to the naturalization trend in soccer in 2019, Robert Xiao, who has a pedigree in our country, moved to Guangzhou, our country, from the Peruvian Sports University team due to the favor of Evergrande FC.
Xiao Tao Tao then resolutely renounced his Peruvian citizenship and obtained our citizenship by virtue of his grandfather's bloodline and changed his name to Xiao Tao Tao. However, his soccer journey in China did not turn out to be as brilliant as expected, but instead he was frequently loaned out to different teams such as Shanghai Shenxin and Jiangsu Kunshan.
The Sports University club had expected to be able to sign Xiaotao Tao Tao at the beginning of the coming year, but with the caveat that he would have to join as a Peruvian player. Obviously, Xiao Tao Tao will not be able to occupy the foreign aid quota if he returns as our player.
