On September 12, Dynamic Express: Most Taean disclosed that soccer great Son Junho has successfully locked up a spot on the South Korean national team, and is expected to miss the bye against Shenzhen and a couple of key matchups in early October.
Son Jungho's selection has been finalized and the Korean national team list will be officially announced to the public as early as the 13th. After completing the 18th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) against Wuhan Sanzhen, he will be on his way back to prepare for the national team buildup. It is reported that he may not appear in the follow-up match in Shenzhen and several matches in early October.
If Son Jungho has the chance to represent the South Korean national team at the Qatar World Cup, he may have to miss some of the Chinese Super League matches in November and December given the need to prepare for the tournament.
