China's men's basketball team introduces naturalized foreign aid

Su Qun began his article by making his position clear: "I have to say that I always firmly support the policy of naturalized foreign aid.

My reasons are threefold: first, naturalized players can provide comprehensive coverage from the No. 1 to No. 4 positions, especially the core guard position, which can effectively activate the fighting force of the whole team, and realize that when a piece of chess falls, the whole plate is alive; second, the global basketball community is undergoing naturalization, and our country's basketball is relatively lacking in talent, and if we don't follow up, we'll be at a disadvantage in the competitive arena, which is a disadvantage that no one will sympathize with and admire; lastly, our country's basketball has long been outside of a high-level competitive environment (e.g., the Olympics), and if it is not adjusted in time, it will fall into a vicious cycle that will lead to further decline.

After articulating his views and rationale, Su Qun further pointed out:

Despite the general acceptance of naturalization in our sports, the basketball world has been silent on the subject, and that won't even change for quite some time.

He further supported his point by citing the introduction of Brazilian players to our men's soccer team, the naturalization of 28 players by the men's and women's ice hockey teams, and the case of Gu Ailing.
