
In the late afternoon of August 25th, the FIFA national team rankings that the global soccer world is watching were announced. The Chinese men's football team realized a slight increase of 1.04 points in this round of ranking, and the total points were locked at 1305.06 points, ranking 78th in the world and 11th in Asia, which is consistent with the previous ranking.
Looking back at the last ranking cycle, the list released on June 23rd saw China's points set at 1,304.02, also at 78th in the world and 11th in Asia. In the past four weeks, the Chinese team represented the National Men's Soccer Selection Team in the East Asian Cup, and although they lost 0-3 to South Korea and drew 0-0 with Japan, they beat Hong Kong, China, with a 1-0 victory, and eventually jumped up to 1305.06 points with a gain of 1.04 points.
Within Asia, Iran, Japan and South Korea are firmly in the top three, with these three teams not only occupying the top three spots in this Asian ranking, but also ranked 22nd, 24th and 28th in the world. They are closely followed by China at No. 11.
The 11th through 20th Asian teams are, in order: Bahrain, Jordan, Syria, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, Vietnam, Lebanon, India, and Tajikistan.
It is worth mentioning that Hong Kong, China is ranked 25th in Asia and 147th in the world; Chinese Taipei is ranked 157th in the world and 32nd in Asia; while Macau, China is ranked 182nd in the world and 37th in Asia.
