Wang Chao, an investor in Jiangxi Dark Horse Youth (once known as Yichun Weihu), revealed in an exclusive interview with Soccer Daily on August 24 that he is eager for the club to push its talent to a higher stage.

The team's performance this season in Central B

Adhering to the soccer philosophy of never being satisfied and striving for victory, our team has undergone an all-round transformation this year. It's my first time as a team owner, Jiang Chen's first time as a first-team head coach, and the 26 players in the team are stepping into a professional league for the first time. We are playing the youth card, and we are looking forward to kicking off a youthful frenzy.

Team building as a whole

We insist on selecting players with energy, dreams and desire to grow, and for those who lack motivation, I will advise them to try other careers. If a player cannot be promoted to a higher platform (e.g. Central League, Chinese Super League or overseas) within three years, we will not renew their contract. We pursue a high-tempo, high-intensity, aggressive style of soccer, with offense as the primary goal when in possession and confrontation when defending, but will not tolerate any unsportsmanlike conduct.

Team's technical and tactical style

The club's management fully respects the manager's decisions in terms of hiring, training and playing, and supports a team management model centered on the manager. We develop step by step, keeping our feet on the ground and never blindly pursuing goals. In the first three-year plan, we focus on the China B League, cultivate talents, improve the club's operation and seek the best development path.

Club Development Philosophy

The S2 League should not be a place for players to retire, but a stage for training young players and sending fresh blood. As in the European leagues, many second teams of the giants are playing in the third tier of their own countries, such as Villarreal's B team which has been promoted to the West B League. A healthy league should have the mechanism of eliminating the fittest rather than blindly accomplishing tasks. The league should have clear goals and directions to help different clubs formulate long-term development plans.

Next season's work

Next season, we will continue to carry forward the youthful storm and build an attacking soccer. In terms of club operations, we look forward to restoring the home-and-away system, allowing fans to return to the field of play, injecting great motivation into players, coaches and clubs, enhancing the emotions between fans and clubs, and promoting the business operations of the league and clubs.
