On August 22, the China Skating Association and the China Roller Skating Association launched the "Stars of Ice and Roller Skating" series of events, aiming to cultivate the youth pyramid of skating talents.
The tournament is divided into three stages: City Heroes, Provincial Challenge and National Finals. The City and Provincial Competitions use a filing system, while the National Finals requires an application. The City Heroes Race takes short track speed skating as its key program, while the Provincial Challenge Race involves a variety of skating programs.
The China Skating Association and the China Roller Skating Association will co-direct the event, with city and provincial competitions being organized by provincial/municipal sports bureaus, skating/roller skating associations, schools and communities. The National Finals, on the other hand, will be organized by the China Skating Association and the China Roller Skating Association, with the same variety of organizers.
