Maliciously interfered with by a third party, the Bureau of the FIFA Council has decisively ordered the immediate suspension of all soccer matches of the All India Football Federation (AIFF).

In view of the poor performance of the Indian national team, the Indian government resolutely reduced the annual budget of the Indian Football Association (IFA) and ordered the IFA to shift its focus to the popularization of youth soccer. In May this year, the Supreme Court of India is directly dismantled the Indian Football Association, the temporary formation of a three-member administrative committee responsible for soccer affairs. The first elections in a year and a half were held after the constitution of the federation was amended. Although the administrative committee is still acting in the name of the Indian Football Association, its functions have been completely dismantled, a move that contradicts FIFA's ban on legal and political interference in member organizations.

In a statement, FIFA noted that the ban will be lifted immediately if the Indian government revokes the order to set up a management committee and allows the Indian Football Association to resume full management of the day-to-day affairs of soccer.

The move has also resulted in the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, which was scheduled to be held in India from October 11-30, 2022, not being able to take place as originally planned. FIFA is carefully considering subsequent arrangements for the tournament and will submit them to the Bureau of the Council for discussion, if necessary. In the meantime, FIFA is in continuous communication with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of India and looks forward to a positive turnaround in the case.
