The tournament, called the "2022-2023 China Frisbee League," is scheduled to begin in August and end in February of the following year, when it will be lit up in a number of cities across the country. Frisbee, a popular sport in recent years, will finally have its first official national event.
In the released notice, the Social Sports Guidance Center of the State General Administration of Sports emphasized that Frisbee sport, because of its unique charm, is loved by the general public and has been developing rapidly in recent years, and has become an important part of the national fitness movement. In order to effectively promote national fitness activities in the context of the normalization of epidemic prevention and control and to meet the public's enthusiasm for participating in tournaments, it has been decided to hold the first China Frisbee League in the second half of 2022. The tournament will consist of two parts: a stage tournament and a grand final.
The tournament will use 175g team discs certified by the International Frisbee Federation, and the playing field will be divided according to the eleven-a-side soccer field, into two disc fields, each with dimensions of 100 meters in length and 30 meters in width, and the scoring area will be 18 meters in length and 30 meters in width. The exact number of fields will be determined based on the enrollment of each participating team.
