The association's director of skills, Kris Van Perveld, embarked on a journey back to Belgium. Despite the FA's efforts to retain him, the 63-year-old ultimately declined the offer to renew his contract for health and family reasons.

Recently, Kris Van Puyveld looked back and commented on the four years he spent working in our country in an interview with the Belgian media morning newspaper. Talking about his experience in our country, Kris Van Puyveld is full of pride and strives to bring the Chinese

Van Pwerder argues that the center

One of the challenges is to develop young talented players and coaches: because the country is hungry for quick success. They try to bring big names into

League, but 90% of those players are here for the money and they add little value, including Belgium's Fellaini, who is highly regarded within the Shandong squad.

During his years in our country, Van Puyveld has constantly tried to improve the interactivity of his work: "Chinese players are used to immediately carrying out the instructions of their coaches. However, in soccer you can't be a robot, you have to learn to think. Let me use an example. If you carry the ball on the field in China and then lose it, it's considered a shame, but as a soccer player you have to be brave to carry the ball, and losing the ball isn't necessarily a big deal, and they have to make that cultural shift.

Speaking about his time in my country, Van Puyveld said, "I had a great time there and I enjoyed it very much. But what we hear about China in Europe is not always true. Chinese soccer and culture inspired me and I felt at home everywhere, both in the North and in the South. China is an amazing country and very safe. I still have a bank account there and I haven't canceled my Chinese phone number yet. You see, I haven't left the country yet.

Regarding his future plans, Vampveld is in no hurry, right now he just wants to spend time with his family and friends: "I haven't seen our children and grandchildren in two years."

However, he has received a number of job offers both at home and abroad, "I forwarded these to my lawyers, anything is possible, and by the way, I don't rule out the possibility of returning to China to work as a consultant.

It is worth mentioning that Van Perveld had the opportunity to coach the national team, revealing that: once the president of the Football Association asked me if I wanted to coach the national team, which is a well-paid and interesting career, but I refused. People around me were stunned at the time, in China it is not customary to say no to someone who holds such a position, and I explained that I wanted to be an advisor to the coach of the national team, to offer advice and help him grow.

As the skills director of the Belgian Football Association, Kris Van Perveld traveled with the Belgian team to Russia in 2018

.. The team ended up finishing third, setting the best record in team history. This was due in large part to the skillful support he provided to the team. Vampveld has repeatedly expressed his love for working and living in our country and his love for the Chinese
