On June 25th, a piece of news quietly made waves in the Belgian media evening papers: Shanghai Shenhua Football Club, showed a strong interest in Moroccan winger Kassela joining the club, however, the 32-year-old star cast a veto on Shenhua's offer.

It is reported that Casella's contract at Norm Liege is coming to an end, and despite Norm Liege having the right to renew, the option has not been utilized. Shenhua saw Casella's potential and made an offer, but Casella preferred to stay in Belgium or Europe for family reasons, not wanting to be separated from his family for the Chinese Super League.

Casella is actively looking for a new home, while his strong family values have been an important criterion in his choice. His Norm Liege contract expires on June 30th. During the season, Casella played 25 games for the team, making only four starts, but his one goal and two assists were still impressive. Prior to that, Casella played for Olympiacos, Granada, Benfica and other top European clubs.
