The curtain rises on the qualifiers. As the dust settles from the group draw, the fixture charts for each group have emerged one by one.
In this draw, China's U17 national team was lucky enough to be drawn in the second slot, forming Group G along with hosts Australia, who are also in the first slot, and alongside our team are Cambodia and the Northern Mariana Islands.

The qualifying campaign will run from October 1-9, 2022, with our team's group matches scheduled for October 5-9 at the Shepperton Football Center in Melbourne, Australia. Below is the exact schedule of matches:
Oct. 5: Australia vs. Northern Mariana Islands, China vs. Cambodia;
October 7: Northern Mariana Islands vs. China and Cambodia vs. Australia;
Oct. 9: Australia vs. China, Cambodia vs. Northern Mariana Islands.
The top 10 teams and the five best second-placed teams will then join forces to advance to the main tournament. Together with the host team, a total of 16 teams will compete for the final stage of the tournament, which will be held from late March to mid-April 2023 in Bahrain. It is worth noting that when comparing the second-placed teams in a group, if there are five teams in a particular group, the results of the match between the fifth-placed team and the second-placed team will not be taken into account.
Our 2006 age group national junior team will be playing in this tournament, and their head coach is the much-anticipated Yang Chen.
