On June 4, in the 1st round of the Chinese Super League match between Shanghai Seaport and Wuhan Changjiang, our player Xu Xin was given a red card and left the field, but a farce of destruction of the field of play was staged immediately afterward.
This ridiculous action has not only damaged the reputation of the club, but also brought a bad impact on the image of the whole Chinese Super League. For this reason, we would like to express our deepest apologies to all the fans and the Dalian Region. At the same time, according to the team rules and discipline of Shanghai Seaport, we decided to impose the following punishment on Xu Xin:
1. Criticize him/her within the team for his/her misconduct;
2. Xu Xin is required to reflect deeply and write a self-examination;
3. Compulsory reimbursement of the full cost of the damage to the facility and the imposition of a fine on the individual.
Shanghai Harbor Football Club will strictly rectify the match style and discipline and strengthen the internal management. We expect all players to take this as a lesson, strict self-discipline, and work together to maintain the club's good image, to create a harmonious environment on the field.
