A news report by Soccer International 26 reveals that the Korean Football Association has officially confirmed that the Paulo Bento-coached side will have a warm-up match against the Egyptian national team on the 14th of next month. Following the cancellation of Argentina's warm-up match, the dust has finally settled on South Korea's list of June warm-up matches, with the final match scheduled for June 4th.
A senior KFA official revealed, "The two federations have agreed on the matter and the news will be announced soon."
The Egyptian team's deserved leader is Salah, who has led the way in the Premier League for many years, and this season has been in a fierce battle with South Korean star Son Heung-Su in the top scorer list, ultimately sharing the honor of top scorer with 23 goals in a season.
Egypt is 32nd in the FIFA rankings, three places behind South Korea. South Korea will host Brazil on June 2 at the Seoul International Cup, Chile on June 6 at the Daejeon International Cup and Paraguay on June 10 at the Suwon International Cup. The final match against Egypt will be held on June 14 and is expected to be played at the Seoul International Cup Stadium. (Reported by Yoo Sui-Tu)
