Naturalized player Alan candidly shares his journey.

He recalled the difficult moments in our country: "On March 20 last year, I was about to take a flight from Guangzhou to Shanghai when I suddenly received a phone call from my wife and learned that our child had stopped breathing. At that moment, it was as if I saw the end of my life. I told my agent straight out that I wanted to go back to Brazil. On that flight, Liu Dianzai was the only person who accompanied me, and he kept shedding tears silently on the plane."

"I never smoked, I never drank alcohol, and I never liked to stand in line, but during that time, being separated from my family and not being able to see my children made me feel like my life had lost its meaning. At that time, I couldn't even perform half of what I was capable of, and every night when I closed my eyes, all I could think about was my wife and children."

With the support of his family, Alan has gradually come out of the shadow and he is now back to normal. Talking about the future, Alan said, "I will choose a country closer to our country to play for, and I hope that I can take care of my family and career in the future national team matches. If the national team calls me up again, I will give it my all."
