One of the key factors behind the delay in announcing the schedule for the Chinese Super League has been the plight of Chongqing's Two Rivers Athletic Salon. Although news of the salon's dissolution has been circulating for some time, the CFA and the CFL preparatory team have been unable to alter the established competition schedule until a definitive announcement is made. In order to cope with any unexpected or extreme situations that may arise, they have had to develop more strategies to deal with them.

The official results announced on the 24th forced the tournament organizers to make adjustments to the Chinese Super League competition plan. In other words, with the withdrawal of Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic, the organizers had to consider carefully whether to add a team to upgrade to ensure the size of the 18-team competition.

It is understood that the tournament organizers had previously considered not to add teams, that is, in accordance with the Chongqing team set the game to "0-3 loss" calculation results. This is because at present all levels of professional league admission and qualification work has come to an end. With less than two weeks to go before the start of the season, adding teams to the Super League on an ad hoc basis will involve a number of complex issues. For example, teams in different leagues will need to implement pre-season personnel reserves in accordance with the rules of their respective leagues. The foreign aid policies of the Chinese Super League and the Chinese League A are different, while the Chinese League B currently does not allow foreign aiders to play.

It should be noted that if it is confirmed that no additional teams will be added, there will only be 17 teams competing in the new Chinese Super League season. Despite the fact that Chongqing's matches have all been ruled negative, there will be one team in each round of the tournament that will be left out, which may have an impact on fair play. For example, if the last round of the tournament happens to involve key matches such as the championship, the Asian Champions League, or relegation, it is doubtful whether other teams competing with them will benefit from it.

If additional teams are confirmed, the adjustments required by the tournament organizers will be quite complicated. For example, if the Dalian People's Team is added to the Chinese Super League, will they still stay in Dalian to participate in the Chinese Super League matches as the host team of the tournament? At present, all the clubs in the Chinese Super League and the Chinese First Division have made preparations to move into the established zones in accordance with the organizer's notification, and some teams even had to move in early. After the individual participating teams and grouping results are adjusted, the relevant teams will also face other collateral problems.

It has been reported that the CFA may open a temporary transfer window for Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic after the team is disbanded. If the "add-on program" is implemented, the additional teams may also have the opportunity to add reinforcements as needed.

From an objective point of view, both opinions have their own rationality. As of noon on May 24, the tournament organizers have not yet made a final decision on "additions or not".
