On May 24th in Beijing time zone, Swiss soccer club Grasshopper officially unveiled its Chinese player Li Lei's half-season review. Li Lei himself has given a self-assessment of 60 points for his journey with Grasshoppers this season, and plans to visit his former coach during the off-season.
Talking about his performance, Li Lei confessed, "I give myself 60 points, which is a passing grade. Coming here for more than four months, I have participated in seven games, including two as a starter and five as a substitute, and also contributed an assist. Although eager for more appearances, I'm quite satisfied with my performance so far."
When asked which game he performed the best, Li Lei recalled, "In the games against Sporting Lausanne and Zurich, I played well. Against Sporting Lausanne I contributed an assist, while against Zurich I made my debut and brought some freshness to the team from the bench."
Regarding the off-season arrangements, Li Lei revealed, "I will relax for a few days and then go to Europe to meet with the coaches who guided me in the past, and I also plan to meet up with my friends in Singapore where I can communicate more in Chinese."
It is worth mentioning that in December 2021, Grasshoppers FC officially announced that Li Lei will officially join the team in January 2022. As the Swiss league came to an end last week, Li Lei's Grasshoppers team managed to achieve their relegation goal.
