In today's announcement, Chongqing Two Rivers Athletic Club revealed that training for teams of all age groups has gradually resumed to ensure that young athletes are not affected.
Club officials emphasized:
No matter what the storm, education is the foundation, the growth of children can not be delayed! In the face of the difficult decision to suspend training, last night, all the youth training coaches and managers who had been at their posts urgently negotiated and unanimously decided: no matter what the future of the club will be, we have to stay at our posts! Starting today, all teams will resume normal training and will not delay the children's growth!
Soccer Daily reported that the players of Chongqing Liangjiang Athletic went on strike again on May 17 to express their dissatisfaction due to the unsuccessful payment of this year's salary.
After nearly six months of waiting, the players have still not received their salaries for this year. Among the club's employees, the longest salary arrears are up to a year, and the shortest is as long as six months.
Since the 16th, the players have refused to go to the training ground, and some of them have expressed their demands to the head coach Zhang Wailong, asking for the compensation of the unpaid salary before they can train again. Zhang had no choice but to leave the matter to the management. It is clear that the issue has dragged on to the point where it cannot be easily reconciled.
Last Thursday, the club learned that the accounts had been frozen because the departing players were suing the club. In this case, even if the club subsequently has funds in its account, it will not be able to prioritize the payment of wages to first team players and staff.
