On May 11th, Beijing Youth Daily disclosed that in light of the postponement of the Asian Games in Hangzhou, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) is planning to adjust the schedule of the Women's Super League (WSL) in order to make room for the Chinese Super League (CSL). Currently, the city of Haikou stands out and is expected to be a candidate to host the first phase of the Chinese Super League. The opening match of the new Super League season is expected to be postponed to June 3rd.

According to Beijing Youth Daily, Chen Xuyuan, the president of the CFA, and Liu Jun, the deputy head of the preparatory group, arrived in Haikou on May 9, and led an investigation team to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the Wiyuanhe Stadium, Mission Hills Soccer Training Base, Mission Hills Resort Hotel and other tournament-related facilities on the 10th. Compared to women's soccer tournaments, men's professional soccer leagues have higher standards for training venues, accommodations, tournament broadcasting, and VAR equipment construction. However, Haikou is experienced in organizing tournaments and has become the focus of the CFA's competition.

According to the report, the CFA needs to submit to the higher authorities of the league's opening plan must include the relevant departments of the city of the tournament area agreed to run the tournament approval. Approval of the implementation of strict procedures, the latest reported time shall not be later than the 15th of this month. According to this projection, the new season of the Chinese Super League is difficult to start this month, the earliest start time may be locked in June 3 or so.

It is reported that the National Women's Super League tournament, originally scheduled to be held in June, the Chinese Football Association and the CFA preparatory group had once given up the idea of organizing a men's Super League tournament in Haikou. However, with the postponement of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the CFA decided to slow down the pace of the Women's Super League appropriately, taking into account the fact that the women's soccer clubs' tournaments have lasted for nearly half a year of closed training and competitions since the beginning of the year. After the current phase of the Women's Super League ended on May 14, the unveiling of the next phase of the tournament will be postponed from the originally planned June to September. From mid-May, venues in Haikou will be vacated for the first phase of the Super League.
