Qingdao Sea Bulls arrived in Jinan on March 16th without stopping to prepare for the new season of China League One. Previously, they had played two matches against Taishan 1st team and U21 team, winning 2-1 and 6-3 respectively.
Prior to arriving in Jinan, the Qingdao Manatees embarked on a five-day warm-up in Guangdong with a record of two wins, one draw and two losses. Specifically, they won a come-from-behind victory over Chang'an Athletic in a 4-1 match, but lost to Meizhou in a 2-4 match. They also won 1-0 against Jinan Xingzhou, drew 0-0 with Chang'an Athletic, and lost 1-3 to Meizhou. In these five matches, Qingdao Sea Bulls remained undefeated against teams in the Central League and Central League B, achieving the purpose of practicing with matches, honing the lineup, examining the players, and also providing exercise opportunities for young players. It is worth mentioning that Xu Yang, who was trained by Taishan Youth Training, is currently on trial with Qingdao Hainiu, and the veteran is expected to join the team in the new season.
Yin Tiesheng, head coach of Qingdao Hainiu, said in an interview with a reporter from Shandong TV Sports Channel, "The team is currently in a stable state, which is crucial for preparing for the new season. We hope that through the joint efforts of the whole team, we will strive to achieve the goal of Super League in three years." It is reported that Qingdao Sea Cow team's attraction work is progressing well, the team has basically determined the foreign aid candidates, only waiting for the new foreign aid to join.
In Qingdao Sea Bulls, veteran Yao Jiangshan and defender Wang Boren, who followed the team to the first division last season, have already retired, while Xiao Zhi, Sha Yibo, Mou Pengfei, Du Wenxiang and other players with experience in the Chinese Super League will be the main core of the team in the new season. It is worth mentioning that veteran Jiang Ning was not able to join the team for the spring training in Jinan due to injury, but his injury will not affect the upcoming matches.
After playing an instructional match in Jinan, Qingdao Sea Cowboys will play another instructional match against Taishan in the afternoon of the 24th, and then return to Qingdao. The new season of the Central League is scheduled to start on April 30th.
