Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport revealed that Inter Milan (

national rice

) is on the verge of completing a major signing, as the Blue and Blacks have signed with

Genoa

Goalkeeper Jerome

Martinez (name)

(J. Martinez) reached an individual agreement.

Inter are looking to complete the signing via a 'cash + player' deal, with Genoa also evaluating the younger players in Inter's squad. The structure of the deal is similar to that of the signing of Fratelli a year ago, when Inter reduced the cash payment through the transfer of Moulartieri.

Inter want to retain the right to buy back in any player exchange involved, which is a key strategy for them in the transfer market.

Inter value Martinez at a maximum of €15 million, while Genoa are asking for €18 million. The two sides are negotiating the difference through a bonus clause.

Martinez has agreed to a five-year contract with Inter, with an initial annual salary of €1.5 million and subsequent annual increases.

In addition to the Martinez transfer, Inter are also eyeing Genoa attacker Alexander Gudmundsson. However, the deal is separate from the Martinez transfer and Inter need to sell Arnautovic to raise funds before they can bring in Gudmundsson.
