Park Hang Suh has brought Vietnam to the World Cup Asian Zone Round of 12, having already created the glory of Vietnamese soccer. Despite failing to win the first seven rounds of the tournament, Vietnam earned its first victory in the history of the 12-team tournament by defeating the country's men's soccer team 3-1 at home in the eighth round of the tournament during the Lunar New Year. Currently, the point gap between Vietnam and the country's men's soccer team is two points, and the team is striving to beat Oman in the remaining two matches to win three points and put the country's men's soccer team in the bottom of the group. After entering the World Cup final round for the first time, they recorded their first win since the start of the tournament.
After writing a new chapter for Vietnamese soccer, Park Hang-su has embarked on the next phase of his plan: introducing more advanced soccer tactics. The Vietnamese media noted that the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) also wants to negotiate a contract extension with Park Hang-su in the hope that he can focus on his work with the national team or even sign a longer-term contract.
