Sichuan Jiuniu Football Club welcomes a new member, midfield core Chen Yi officially joined.
The 25-year-old midfielder, who comes from the Yatai youth camp, helped the Chinese national team shine in the Asian Junior Championships as a debutant. Chen Yi has also gained valuable experience on the international stage, having played for several clubs in Portugal in the Portuguese Liga and Portuguese U Series, and in July 2021 he chose to return to the domestic scene, joining Chinese League One rivals Heilongjiang Bingcheng.
Chen Yi expressed his joy at the signing ceremony:
"I am incredibly excited about joining Sichuan Jiuniu. After getting to know the team better, I realized that JiuNiu's style coincides with my philosophy, and the club's blueprint for development makes me look forward to bringing my full energy to the team."
The team's head coach Sergio Lobera also welcomed the addition of Chen Yi:
