Guangzhou City Football Club is firmly committed to the Yuexiushan Stadium as its preferred home ground.
Close behind is, Guangzhou City Football Club. Currently, Guangzhou City Football Team has completed a two-week intensive training at the University City Football Base. With the steady progress of the club's shareholding reform, the team has been preparing for the match in a step-by-step manner under the leadership of the Dutch coach, Van Garst. In terms of home stadium selection, Guangzhou City FC submitted applications for Yuexiushan Stadium and University City Stadium, with the Olympic Sports Center in Wuhua, Meizhou as an alternative venue. Recently, the club released a notice announcing that it could accept the return of 2020 tickets from fans and notify them to apply for annual tickets for the 2022 season according to the relevant regulations of the Chinese Super League after the official schedule of the 2022 season is finalized.
The Guangzhou team, Guangzhou City FC and the Guangzhou Football Association (GFA) have submitted the confirmation letter of home stadium hosting for the new season to the CFA, and the GFA is currently submitting the home stadium declaration letter to the municipal government in anticipation of receiving the government's approval letter back.
Newly-promoted team Meizhou Hakka Football Club started their preparation for the new season in advance at their Wuhua base. For their home stadium selection, they chose the Wuhua Olympic Sports Center and the Zeng Xianzi Stadium in the city of Meizhou, with the Yuexiushan Stadium in Guangzhou as a backup venue.
However, Shenzhen Football Club is currently facing a difficult situation. The team is in Haikou for preparatory training under the guidance of new coach Lee Jang-soo, but has reached an impasse in the choice of home ground, as there is still uncertainty about whether it can host home matches due to the severe epidemic situation in the area.
In fact, although the CFA has successively recovered most clubs' home hosting confirmation letters, it is still unknown whether the CFA can successfully resume this year's home-and-away system for professional leagues, as most local governments have yet to provide consent letters.
