In the February 23rd chronology, the Chinese Football Association announced the training list for the upcoming final two matches of the Top 12 tournament, in which players such as Fernando, Allan, and Ackerson were on the list, however Wu Lei was absent for some reason. It is worth mentioning that the national team is about to go to Haikou on March 3 to start a new round of training. In this regard, reporter Zhao Yu expressed his views on social media platforms, he believes that the timing of such training arrangements is too early, perhaps not a wise move.
Zhao Yu was blunt on social media, "The match against Saudi Arabia in the Round of 12 is on March 24th, while the national football team has been brought forward to March 3rd to start the training, which is a bit too hasty. Not to mention, the team is still in isolation, physically and mentally exhausted, such an arrangement is really unnecessary."
Zhao Yu further explained, "The training just ended on January 11th, the isolation was lifted on February 24th, followed by a new round of training on March 3rd. After the game, there will be at least 14 days of isolation. A long period of intense training may not bring ideal results, as the experience of the Chinese national soccer team over the past years has fully proved."
