On February 8, an explosive news came from the Hebei Football Salon of the Chinese Super League that the winter training program for the new season, which was scheduled to start on the same day, had been postponed for some reasons. At present, the club for when to restart the relevant training, there is no clear timetable.
Hebei Football Salon was scheduled to kick off preparations for the new Chinese Super League season on Feb. 8 in Hainan, according to a Beijing Youth Daily reporter. For this reason, at the end of last season's Super League, the club stored its training and match equipment in Guangzhou, the location of the Super League Championship Division.
However, surprisingly, on the afternoon of the 8th, the club made an official announcement, announcing that the first team's winter training operations had been postponed for some reason.
Looking back, back in early 2021, Hebei Football Salon had the idea of quitting the Chinese Super League. At that time, due to the financial pressure, Huaxia Happiness Group, as the parent company, intended to transfer the club. However, after some retention, the relevant parties promised to give some support to the club in the hope that it would continue to operate.
However, those promises have not been fulfilled after the Riverhounds completed a successful tournament in the 2021 Super League season, finishing in the second stage of the Championship Group of Competitors competition.
In order to maintain survival, Hebei Football Salon conducted a series of internal layoffs before the start of the second phase of the Chinese Super League last season, even arranging an indefinite suspension of training for all levels of the ladder teams, including the first team.
Until the second phase of last season's Chinese Super League match near the start, the team was barely able to enter the tournament under the premise of members advancing all kinds of expenses out of their own pockets. It is reported that the club has made many efforts to promote the share reform, but from the internal feedback, so far Langfang Sports Bureau and other relevant parties have not yet fulfilled their commitments.
Lunar New Year is approaching, Hebei team has said that the first team is tentatively scheduled to re-assemble on the eighth day of the first month of the lunar calendar (i.e., February 8) to prepare for the new season of the Chinese Super League. "Although all aspects of the club's work are still facing difficulties and challenges, we believe that under the care of leaders at all levels, with the support of Hebei fans, and with the efforts of all colleagues, Hebei will be able to rise to the challenge and continue to brighten up the Hebei soccer and build up momentum for the development of talents for the Chinese soccer team."
A source from the club said, "In order to properly carry out the preparation work for the new season, the club has thought of many ways, including 'self-help' measures. However, the relevant commitments have not been realized. And the club is still facing financial difficulties. The resumption of work is postponed for no reason."
