Pushing towards the runner-up spot. Despite leading by two goals, Korea were unable to maintain their advantage. Korea's first taste of the final impressed the crowd and their head coach Colin Bell was proud of his team's best-ever record.

In the press conference after the match, Colin Bell reviewed the match and confessed, "We led by two goals in the first half, but the penalty kick award in the second half disrupted our original tactical layout. We gave our opponents too many 1-on-1 chances and the Chinese team showed tenacity in the 90 minutes."

Not discouraged by the loss of the game, Colin Bell encouraged his team by saying, "I told them that we have to get stronger and learn from this loss. Nonetheless, I was still proud of the girls because they all gave it their all."
