At the second meeting of the 11th General Assembly of the National Football Association (NFA) held in Chengdu, a number of important reports and resolutions were considered and adopted. Three associations, including the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps Football Association, successfully joined the Association, bringing the number of members to 50.
Chen Xuyuan, chairman of the association, pointed out in his report that in the future, the association will deepen soccer reform, promote the healthy development of professional league, promote the development of youth soccer, and strengthen the construction of the national team. It will also deepen the reform of the association's institutional mechanism, strengthen party building, and ensure smooth preparations for the Asian Cup.
The financial report shows that the NFA will see fluctuations in both income and expenditure from 2019 to 2020, but will continue to optimize the allocation of resources in 2022 to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of the association.
The meeting also made adjustments to the executive committee, adding Gu Shan as an executive committee member, and introduced the management methods of member associations and guidelines for healthy development work.
Du Zhaocai, deputy director of the State General Administration of Sports, emphasized that comprehensively deepening soccer reform is the focus of future work, which will focus on the preparation and participation of the national team, club reform, youth soccer development and preparation for the Asian Cup.
