BEIJING, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Shen Menglu, a highly-regarded Chinese women's soccer player, officially ended her Portuguese Premier League career in an official statement announced by Sporting Portugal women's soccer team, which expressed its gratitude for Shen's contribution and wished her all the best in her future path.

Shen Monroe has been in Europe since July last year, joining Portuguese Superliga powerhouse Sporting Portugal, but due to injuries, she was unable to get a chance to play. However, in a match in the second division of Portuguese women's soccer, she came on as a substitute and contributed three goals in a short period of time, scoring a hat-trick.

Shen Monroe has reportedly opted for an early termination of her contract with the aim of seeking more playing opportunities. Sports Weekly revealed that after the termination of her contract, Shen Monroe will remain in Europe and is now close to joining another Portuguese Premier League team, Athletic Ouren. She has arrived in the city of Ouren, which is located 100 kilometers north of Lisbon, and has started training with her new team. When the formalities are completed, she will officially become a member of Athletic Ouren.

Further analysis by Sports Weekly pointed out that Shen Menglu is expected to get stable playing time in the new team and better adapt to the rhythm of the European league. Oulun Athletic is also looking forward to her arrival, believing that her addition will inject new energy into the team's offensive end and help the team achieve better results in the league.
