News as of today (January 3), the famous Belgian media sporza disclosed that the technical director of our soccer association, Chris Van Perveld from Belgium recently accepted the media interview, talked about his work experience in China and some recent career dynamics.

Recently, the "tattoo ban" introduced by the General Administration of Sport of China has aroused global concern, however, facing this topic, Van Perveld said: "I just finished a two-week vacation, but those are outside issues, I don't care about them, I'm mainly responsible for the content of the soccer itself. Just like in the West, sometimes crazy things happen, but I'm working well here and I'm happy."

After the 2018 World Cup, Van Perveld signed a four-year contract with our football association. Talking about the expiry of his contract, he said, "My contract will expire at the end of November 2022 and we will see then. I think I'm very popular here, but I know how the soccer industry works, so I'm just focused on the next year."

A few years ago, many big-name players flocked to the Chinese Super League, but with the introduction of salary restrictions, the bubble gradually burst. In this regard, Van Perveld said: "I think it's an advantage that our local young players have more chances to play. I said five years ago that for our country's soccer to develop, we must attract people who can work here for a long time, who must focus on the training of our players and coaches, not just come to develop themselves and make money."

"There was an unhealthy income to expenditure ratio and these differences always need to be adjusted. It was unhealthy, especially after the epidemic, so the FA hierarchy decided to make the soccer environment healthy again."

Vampveld also spoke about the rise of young players, "For example, Shanghai Harbour, coached by Leko, they now have a 21-year-old striker, Liu Zhurun, available to play, as well as Guo Tianyu, a 23-year-old striker on the same team as Fellaini, who is also a national team player."

"There is a lot of respect for Belgian soccer here, and it makes me very proud that in a country as big as mine, they see Belgium as a pioneer." The most famous Belgian player in our country is undoubtedly Fellaini. He led Shandong Taishan to the Chinese Super League title in the 2021 season. Speaking about Fellaini, Van Perveld said, "He is highly respected and is the captain of Shandong Taishan, a position that means a lot."

"Fellaini is an example of a professional player and under his leadership the team will achieve even more. Not only does he give his all on the field, but he has also discussed with the top management the work that is very important for the development of soccer in our country, and I have also discussed with him that he is very happy here."
