On November 9, the UAE Football Association formally released a message announcing that the upcoming November 11, 19:00 Group A match between South Korea and the UAE will be officiated by our famous referee, Ma Ning, while his assistants will be our referees, Shi Xiang and Cao Yi, respectively; meanwhile, the fourth official will be Shen Yinhao.
After the match, our refereeing team led by Manning will quickly move on to Amman, Jordan, where they will continue to referee Syria's match against Iran on Nov. 16, and the video assistant referee for that match will be Fu Ming.
Prior to this, FIFA held the "2022 Qatar World Cup Potential Referee Seminar" from November 1 to 5, with 52 referees from the four continental football federations attending the event. Chinese referee Ma Ning and assistant referee Shi Xiang also attended the meeting. After the seminar, Ma Ning left Doha in a hurry to reappear in the refereeing ranks of the 12-team tournament.
