Recently, Guangzhou Evergrande's youth coach Salva has decided to join Wuhan Sanzhen, a team in the Central League, and his words show his unlimited hope for the future.
Back in 2012, Guangzhou Evergrande Group and Real Madrid Football Club jointly founded the Evergrande Football Campus. This campus, which covers a vast area with complete facilities, has 50 international standard soccer pitches, 26 training buildings and apartments, and has been certified by Guinness World Records as the world's largest soccer school.
However, when Guangzhou Evergrande Football fell into financial difficulties and the parent company was unable to transfuse blood for it any more, Evergrande Football Campus was not spared either. It is reported that the campus, with only 200 students left, is also facing the fate of being resold. Evergrande Football Campus, which was once regarded as the hope of Chinese soccer, is now rapidly going into decline.
According to insiders, Evergrande Group had asked teachers, coaches, employees and even parents of students at the football school to assist in selling their homes after the financial chain broke. Salva, a youth coach from Evergrande's soccer school, was not able to escape this fate. However, he soon found a new home, joining Chinese League One team Wuhan Sanzhen.
Salva will be primarily responsible for youth training when he joins Wuhan Sanzhen. He said, "I am looking forward to the future and thank you for this opportunity!" Speaking about the future, Salva said, "We are currently rebuilding the team and taking on more players to improve technically, tactically and physically. Our goal is to develop players into professional soccer, and we look forward to attracting more talented players to the team and developing them into professionals and winners!"
