On November 9, the country's soccer powerhouse, the national soccer team, came with good news, officially announcing that the upcoming sixth-round match with Oman, as well as the summit clash with Australia, will be open to the general public.
It is worth mentioning that with the national soccer team's recent switch to Sharjah for its home matches, the CFA has formally submitted an application to FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to open up 50 percent of the spectator seats, or 6,000 seats. FIFA has now endorsed this. Tickets for the match are priced at 50 dirhams (about 87 yuan) in order to incentivize more fans to come and cheer for the national team.
Officials of the national soccer team said:
In consultation with the UAE Football Association and with the approval of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), our matches against Oman in the fifth round and Australia in the sixth round of Group B of the Asian Qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar will be open to spectators. Meanwhile, in agreement with the Sharjah government authorities and in compliance with the Asian Football Confederation regulations and the capacity of the Sharjah Stadium, ticket sales will be capped at 6,000 tickets per match.
All fans, let's all cheer for the national football team!
