A fierce warm-up match took place. The match was staged at the GenShen Sports Center and ended with a 1-2 score for Zhejiang, with Matthews contributing the team's only goal.

In the second half, in the 68th minute, Barton scored a long shot from outside the right to tie the score at 1-1. Immediately after, in the 80th minute, Wu Xinghan cut inside on the left side and fired a powerful shot to tie the game at 2-1.
In another warm-up match not too long ago, the Chinese team beat Shenzhen Football Club 3-0 at the Houpel base in Shanghai, with Zhang Yuning, Luo Guofu and Alan all making their mark.
