In the early hours of November 3 in Shanghai, inside the Houpel base, the Chinese soccer team capped off their first warm-up match with a 3-0 victory over Shenzhen Football Club in a warm-up match. The goal scorers included Zhang Yuning, Luo Guofu and Alan.
That afternoon, the Chinese team scheduled two warm-up matches, with the match against Shenzhen being just one of them, followed by a confrontation with Zhejiang Greentown. The team's current 31 players were skillfully divided into two groups to accommodate different game strategies. In this match against Shenzhen, Xu Xin was given an unexpected starting spot, after failing to get even a minute of action in the four group matches in West Asia.
China's starting lineup featured a relatively stable backfield lineup, with Yan Junling holding down the fort, and Stanley Wang, Jiang Guangtai, Zhu Chenjie, and Zhang Linpeng making up the backline. In the midfield, Wu Xi and Xu Xin partnered to form a sturdy double back. As for the front, Luo Guofu and Liu Binbin played as the two wingers respectively, while Zhang Yuning and Alan were paired in the center of the field.
Shenzhen also fielded a combination of starters and substitutes. In the first half, China took a 2-0 lead with goals from Luo Guofu and Zhang Yuning. At the changeover, both teams made substitutions, and Alan added another goal to seal a 3-0 victory and a successful conclusion to China's first warm-up match.
