In an interview on October 22, Brazilian star Anderson Talisca talked about why he traveled to Portugal and China to play football, cleared up rumors about Corinthians, and revealed his desire to play for the Brazilian national team.

Recently, Barclays Premier League powerhouse Corinthians have been actively attracting reinforcements, setting their sights on attacking midfielder Talisca, who is based in the United Arab Emirates. Facing rumors of a possible return to Brazil, Talisca insisted: "I have no contact with the club. There has been no talk with anyone ...... whether it's the board, the manager, or anyone (there has been no contact), so this news is false."

In an interview with ESPN's Canal Tricolor, Talisca admitted that he is eager to wear the Corinthians' kit, but clarified the rumors, "There is a lot of speculation about it because I gave an interview to ESPN and I said that I am a Corinthians fan. Apart from Bahia, I really want to wear the Corinthians shirt, but I didn't say I was going to Corinthians, so people misunderstood me."

Speaking about the possibility of representing the Brazilian national team again at the 2022 World Cup, Talisca said, "It's definitely my never-ending dream. I know it's difficult right now because I'm playing in Saudi Arabia, far away from Asia, but I believe that the opportunity will always arise and my time will come."

Born in 1994, Talisca welcomed the opportunity to stay abroad in 2013, joining Benfica in Portugal. Talking about his experience at that time, Talisca said: "At that time it was new for me to go abroad and it was tough, but I adapted well because I went to a country where Portuguese was spoken, so I didn't find it difficult. I arrived in the summer and the climate was pleasant, and I had a great time during my three and a half years in Portugal. It was fantastic for me, I won many titles and brought a lot of joy to the Benfica fans."

After playing for European giants such as Benfica and Besiktas, Talisca chose the path chosen by many footballers and landed in Asian football in 2018 at the age of 24, joining Guangzhou Evergrande. Talking about why he chose to move from European to Asian soccer at such a young age, Talisca revealed that he was in discussion with a big club in England, Manchester City, but due to some problems the transfer did not work out and eventually accepted Guangzhou Evergrande's offer: "At that time people thought I would join At that time people thought I was going to join a European club, but in the end something happened that prompted me to make the decision to go to China. I was in discussions with Guangzhou and Manchester City at the same time and there were some problems that prevented me from going to Manchester City. Plus the offer from China was very attractive and I chose to go to Guangzhou Evergrande."
