Song Peng, deputy general manager of Zhonghe Industrial Stadium and person in charge of the project, revealed, "It is expected that in November, the main body of the stadium will fully enter the construction of the second floor above ground." According to the construction plan, the end of this year, the main structure of the stadium concrete topping, the end of the first quarter of next year, steel structure completion, the entire renovation project is expected to be completed at the end of next year acceptance, to ensure that the preparations for the Asian Cup is carried out smoothly.
Restoring the spatial orientation of popular sports culture
The new Workers' Stadium will restore the original urban landscape, recreate the open and sparse urban space, and restore its orientation as a space for mass sports and cultural life. Grandstand upgrades and acoustic optimization
One of the biggest highlights of this renovation is the grandstand structure that is in line with the latest European planning concepts. By adjusting the inclination of the grandstand and increasing the distance between the seats, the spectators' viewing comfort will be greatly improved. The seats on the east and west sides of the stands are only 8.5 meters away from the lawn, and the distance between the north and south sides is 10 meters, which will greatly enhance the fans' experience of watching the game. In order to create a better cheering atmosphere, the project has also invited a team of professional acoustic consultants to participate in the design of the grandstand bowl, to ensure that the new stadium's sound collection effect.
Innovative construction techniques and environmental concepts

The PPP project for the renovation and reconstruction of Gongti has been approved by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, with the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions and Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports as the implementers, and the social capital party of the project was selected through public tender.At the end of 2020, the consortium formed by Zhonghe Group, Beijing Construction Engineering Group and Huasi Group won the public tender, and then jointly set up the Zhonghe Gongti (Beijing) Commercial Operation and Management Company Limited, which will be responsible for investment, construction and operation during the cooperation period of the project.
