At this working session of the AFC Women's Football Committee, President Kilorn began by congratulating the women's soccer teams of Indonesia, Iran, South Korea, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam for securing their places in the Women's Asian Cup main round during the September international tournament, where they will compete alongside Japan, Australia, China, and host India for the final of the Women's Asian Cup, which will be held from January 20 to February 6, 2022 stage.
The AFC also expressed its gratitude to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Palestine for their active hosting of the Women's Asian Cup qualifying rounds of the tournament system competition. This means that Japan, North Korea and South Korea, who finished in the top three of the 2019 AFC U19 Women's Championship, will participate in the U20 Women's World Cup to be held in Costa Rica from August 10-28, 2022; and the top three teams from the 2019 AFC U16 Women's Championship, as well as the hosts India, will participate in the U17 Women's World Cup to be held from October 11-30, 2022 in India.
