September 25, Sports Weekly soccer special correspondent Ma Dexing revealed that the Chinese soccer national team (hereinafter referred to as the "national football team") in Doha, Qatar, intense preparations for the same group rival Omani national team, announced the day before (24), they plan to play with the Nepalese national team and Qatar's military soccer team, respectively, two warm-up matches. Qatar's local soccer club was unable to participate.

The Omani national team left Muscat on September 21 to set up a temporary training camp in Doha for the upcoming third round of the 12-team tournament away to Australia. The original plan was to complete 10 days of closed training in Doha before heading straight to Australia for the Oct. 7 away game. However, the Omani team had to choose to remain in Doha to prepare for the match as the Australian Football Federation did not receive government approval to host the match at its home ground.

During these 10 days of closed training, the Omani national team had wanted to arrange two warm-up matches and had hoped to get the support of the Qatar Football Association (QFA). But unfortunately, the domestic clubs in Qatar were too busy with their league matches to spare them. However, with the assistance of the Qatar Football Association (QFA), the Omani national team was able to play a warm-up match against the Nepalese national team in Doha, which will be held at the Qatar University Training Ground on the 26th. It is worth noting that the Qatar University Training Ground was also the training base for the Chinese national team when they were in Doha last month for the first two matches of the Round of 12 tournament.
