In the Beijing time zone on September 7, a netizen named "jokerrr6" exposed a shocking news: Kunming Zhenghe Shipbuilding Soccer Salon of the China B League has failed to pay its employees' salaries for seven consecutive months.
The netizen revealed that the problem of salary arrears at the Kunming Zhenghe Shipwrights' Football Salon (which was formerly known as the Yunnan Kunlu Football Salon) has spread to players, coaches and administrative staff. Although the salon's top management promised to resolve the salary issue long before the league started, the payment of salaries has been delayed by the parent company's poor business conditions as the league progresses.
Although the person in charge had verbally promised to release part of the salary after the second round of the competition in July and the top stage of the competition in early August, he did not fulfill it in the end.On August 26, the salon investor promised to release the salary on September 2, but on that day, it was still being shirked under various excuses. Worse still, the bonus agreed in the contract was also not materialized.
Last year, Yunnanese members of the team were told not to renew their contracts after claiming entitlements. Lacking a source of income, some of the players were reportedly forced to retire and change careers, with some even starting to borrow from loan sharks and others joining the takeaway industry to make ends meet.
We expect the Salon executives to keep their promises and avoid becoming a defaulter, and we hope that the relevant units and social enterprises will lend a hand to help these people who add color to Yunnan soccer.
