The choice of a new manager is in the spotlight. As one of the representative figures of the "Clanging Roses" period, 55-year-old Shui Qingxia finally waited for this opportunity. From her playing days to her coaching career, Shui Qingxia has written a legendary story in her own unique way.
A halfway decent ballplayer.
Shui Qingxia's association with soccer was somewhat fortuitous.
She started out in Hongkou Junior Gymnasium, but in the beginning, she practiced track and field, focusing on long jump and pentathlon. However, the coaches thought that her body condition was average, and it was difficult to reach a high level even if she practiced further, so she might as well try a different program.
When she was 17 years old, she was diverted from the junior sports school, and Shui Qingxia only came into contact with soccer for the first time. You can hardly believe that a girl who only knew the rules of soccer from the age of 17 could later play for the national team and become a first-class player.
At the beginning, Shui Qingxia's basic skills and ball sense were very poor. After practicing for a period of time, the coach examined the upside-down ball, she could not turn it over more than 10. "Maybe there is a force in the bones of the unconquerable, plus the physical quality is good, and ultimately was selected by the coach into the Shanghai team. Later, the more you play, the more you feel, self-confidence also came up."
Doing a lot of work does require talent and enlightenment. Just over a year after her transition, the national team announced its training roster, and Shui Qingxia became China's
women's soccer
The first Shanghai-based player to be drafted in history.
Shui Qingxia prefers to play in the center forward, yet she is a jack of all trades on the field. Many believe that she is the Shanghai
women's soccer
The most technically versatile player in history, can play any position on the field except goalkeeper and all positions at the national team level. In fact, she started out playing left back for the national team.
On the field of water Qingxia is known as the "desperation", fight almost do not want to die. 1993, she was in Japan to stay in the ocean, an ordinary training game injury fell to the ground, the right leg tibia was kicked off, resulting in serious fractures, do the steel nails within the fixation of the operation, 7 years before the removal of this piece of steel plate. Until now, every cloudy and rainy weather, Shui Qingxia's injured leg will still be a little reaction from time to time.
"My noggin doesn't look like anything is wrong with it now, but it's actually been broken twice and then reconstructed. In addition to the time I broke my leg in Japan, I also broke the cruciate ligament in my knee." Shui Qingxia recalled, "I think it doesn't matter, after all, being born as a human being, God will always have to give you some small sufferings for you to overcome."
The serious injuries that are unimaginable to others, Shui Qingxia just lightly said "a small suffering". You can hear how strong her heart is.
But it is with this "do not want to die" ruthlessness, Shui Qingxia to realize the "bend in the road to overtake", kicked out of the Hall of Fame. 1986, 1993, two Asian Championships, the 1996 Olympic Games, Shui Qingxia are our country!

After successfully defending her title at the Games, Shui Qingxia finally made the decision:

. She was 35 years old that year.
Playing days, Shui Qingxia has been involved in coaching, playing soccer while taking coaching certificates, so after hanging up her boots and transitioning, she had a high starting point, and once she came down as the Shanghai
women's soccer
's assistant coaches before being moved up to the National Youth League.
And the reason why she chose to stay in soccer was simple at first. "The two coaches I met when I was in junior varsity were exceptionally nice to me, so I thought being a coach would give a lot of people care and help, I guess, and I really wanted to be able to do that for myself."

All without the use of foreign aid, and from this, they have also produced one batch after another of excellent young players to be selected for the national team.
In the eyes of outsiders, the unsmiling water Qingxia is a strict coach, sometimes launching a fire to make people some "trembling", but in addition to the strict, as a woman coach, water Qingxia also has a different kind of tenderness. "Many people have asked me what is the secret of success, I think the most important or team cohesion, it is like a family, I and the players sometimes call each other sister sister sister sister sister, we are willing to work together in order to unify the goal, less some calculation." The surface is cold, the heart is hot, this is the more real Shui Qingxia.
At 55 years old, Shui Qingxia should have reached the age of retirement. But now, she's off again to take on new challenges.
I'm looking forward to it.
As the saying goes, an incompetent general exhausts all three armies. The importance of a good skipper to a team is obvious.

with respect to
women's soccer
We have taken a lot of detours in the selection of the manager. Over the years, we have hired many foreign coaches and changed coaches frequently.
Shui Qingxia is a wise and pragmatic choice, and it is not easy to be a women's soccer coach for 20 years; of course, it is even more difficult to do well. She is enthusiastic about women's soccer, passionate and motivated, with proven track record and the ability to continuously develop a batch of talents, in short, qualified, capable and charismatic, so she is a suitable candidate.
Of course, China's women's football transformation and enhancement, will not be overnight, is bound to be a relatively long and difficult process. At this moment, we have to give the "newcomer" Shui Qingxia a little more time, a little more trust, a little more support.
In her playing days, Shui Qingxia was most recognized for her free kicks. Now, expect Coach Shui to kick a few good shots in this new field of our women's soccer!
