In the late afternoon of July 14, leaders of Vietnam's National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of the New Crown, as well as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Health, the Hanoi Municipal Government, and the head of the Vietnam Football Association (VFFA), gathered to discuss the big event. The meeting revealed exciting news - the upcoming Qatar World Cup Asian Zone 12 Group B matches will be held for the first time in grand style at the My Dinh Stadium in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi.
It is reported that upon arrival in Vietnam, other participating teams will strictly implement the "security bubble" strategy, whereby referees, supervisors, business partners and other personnel will travel from airports to their residences, hotels, training grounds and competition venues, forming a completely closed environment to ensure zero contact with the outside world. The Vietnam Football Association will work closely with all parties and do its best to prevent the epidemic under the guidance of the Steering Committee on prevention and control of the new crown.
In accordance with the requirements of the National Steering Committee for the Prevention and Control of New Crowns, the staff of the team involved in the organization and services must be vaccinated against New Crowns. Depending on the epidemic situation on the day of the race, the decision of the Health and Epidemiology Department, the Organizing Committee will evaluate the possibility of allowing spectators to watch the race on site.
The head of the Vietnam Football Association (VFA) said, "We have had in-depth communication with the General Administration of Sport of Vietnam and the Hanoi City Government and are confident in the success of hosting a professional, efficient and safe tournament." Vietnamese media noted that hosting the tournament will not only give the Vietnamese team an advantage at home, but will also help boost Vietnam's reputation and image in global epidemic prevention and control. The World Qualifier Asian Zone 12 will officially kick off on September 2, with China's first match against Australia. (Cheo Ao Yau)
