In the afterglow of summer, July 8 ushered in a piece of heavy news in the Chinese soccer world: the upcoming draw for the 2022 AFC U23 Asian Cup of Uzbekistan qualifiers, which opens at 15:00 Beijing time tomorrow, will decide the fate of all the giants.
The 42 participating teams, like stars in a sea of stars, are divided into 11 groups according to the ranking of the previous tournament, with West Asia occupying 6 seats and East Asia having 5 groups. They will compete for the precious 15 seats in the main round of the tournament.
It is worth mentioning that our soccer team will be placed in the second slot of the East Asia Region with Japan, Malaysia and Myanmar, and a fierce battle is about to start.
The qualifier, however, will be lit on the green fields of Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Tajikistan, the UAE and Chinese Taipei, Indonesia, Mongolia and Singapore from October 23-31, 2021.
