Moment of attention! On June 14th, the UEFA Europa League's Group C was in full swing, with Austria topping Northern Macedonia by a 3-1 scoreline. Lerner, Gregoric and Arnautovic each scored a goal in the victory. It is worth mentioning that Arnautovic, the center forward of the Chinese Super League's Shanghai Harbour, also showed his sharpness in this game.
More excitingly, Arnautovic's winning goal made him the second Chinese Super League (CSL) player to score in the Europa League after Yilmaz. This achievement also marks the second consecutive time that a Chinese Super League player has scored on the Europa League stage.
The Chinese Super League, moreover, has become the league outside Europe that has scored the most goals in the Europa League. Prior to this, only one player playing for a club outside of Europe had scored in the history of the Europa League, and that was Slovakian winger Weiss in the last Europa League. He was playing for Qatar's Al Gharafa and scored six days before Yilmaz!
