South Korea topped the group with 13 points after a stunning performance that saw them win four and draw one of their five matches, scoring 20 goals and shutting out their opponents. Shanghai Shenhua's Kim Shin-wook scored twice, while 19-year-old Chung Sang-bin also contributed a goal. Lebanon, on the other hand, is still leading the group standings, but failed to maintain its unbeaten status in the face of Turkmenistan's shutout. In this round of matches, South Korea's head coach Bento made minor changes to his starting lineup, with Chinese Super League players Son Jun-ho and Kim Shin-wook both getting their debuts. In the 15th minute, Kim Shin-wook scored the first goal of the match with a brilliant shovel shot.
