On June 2, our soccer team was treated to an intense day of double practice before preparing for the trip to Sharjah. A much-anticipated organized event for the competition kicked off at 4:30pm and the media was able to get a glimpse of the team's preparations in the 15 minutes that opened up at the end of the training session. It was the team's last open training session before the trip and Alan was interviewed by the media.
In the previous match against Guam, Alan made his debut for China and scored twice. The picture of him forgetting to celebrate the moment he scored the goal made people feel warm and cozy. Talking about his goal, Alan said: "Looking back on yesterday's game, I still feel unbelievable, it's like a dream that finally came true. The night before the game, I tossed and turned and couldn't sleep until our team won a big game, it was a really great feeling."
Regarding the celebration after the goal, Alan mentioned, "After that goal, I celebrated with Wei Shihao. He is not only a teammate for me, but also my very good brother. He gave me key passes on the field that allowed me to score. That's why we celebrated together."
According to the plan, the national football team will depart from Shanghai Pudong Airport to Dubai on June 3 to start the next three preparation matches for the tournament. Alan said that despite the challenges, he is confident that the difficulties can be overcome. "I think the most important thing is that we don't have fans cheering us on, which is really crucial for us. Other than that, we don't have any other difficulties because we are all aiming to qualify. Even if there are difficulties, our goal is to overcome them."
Alan emphasized that whenever he's on the field, he does everything he can to help his team win, "I don't just score goals on the field, even if it's running, encouraging my teammates, I help my team win in every way I can."
