North Korea has decided to forgo its participation in the 2022 tournament, according to official AFC news.
World Cup
tournament as well as the 2023 event in
Asian cup (e.g. soccer)
Qualifiers.
The decision has been officially announced by the AFC and the move by North Korea will be referred to the FIFA Match Organizing Committee for further action. Meanwhile, details of changes to the Group H table, which includes Turkmenistan, South Korea, Lebanon and Sri Lanka, will be announced in due course.
