On April 28th, in the springtime, the Wuhan Organizing Committee of the China Central League solemnly issued a letter of notice to the global fans. The letter revealed that due to strict anti-epidemic measures, the gates of the current China League 1 tournament were temporarily closed to fans from afar. Guizhou Football Club, also located in Wuhan, also expressed its regret on its official microblog, announcing that the May 1 match between Guizhou and Suzhou Dongwu will not be open to fans.

It is reported that since April 21, Guizhou Football Club has repeatedly sent letters to the Wuhan Match Organizing Committee, promising to ensure that fans who meet the epidemic prevention regulations can enter the stadium to watch the match under the premise of strictly controlling the number of spectators. However, at 3pm on April 28th, the club was suddenly informed that the match would not be open to local fans. In the face of this sudden change, Guizhou Football Club quickly communicated intensively with the CFA, the Wuhan Football Association and the Wuhan Organizing Committee of the China League, in an effort to open the stands to fans for the May 1 match. Unfortunately, despite the efforts of many parties, the final approval was not granted. After careful consideration, the club decided not to open the Guizhou fans' stand for this match.
