Burnley swept aside Wolves by a massive 4-0 margin away from home, a feat that saw New Zealand international Wood score three goals in the first half in spectacular fashion to become the first New Zealand player in Premier League history to reach a hat-trick. This honor makes New Zealand the 46th country in the Premier League to record a hat-trick.

Standing at a whopping 191cm tall, Wood, 29, joined Burnley from Leeds in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee of €16 million and has contributed 44 goals in 135 appearances for the side so far.

When we see players from this tiny country, New Zealand, being able to shine in the Premier League, we can't help but think of our national soccer star Wu Lei spending a full 90 minutes on the bench in the WBA this week. So when will someone from the national soccer team make it to the Premier League stage again? I'm afraid it's going to be quite a few years.
