Nantong Zhiyun drew 1-1 with Nanjing City in the first round of the 2021 season. After the match, Nantong Zhiyun's manager Xie Hui revealed that the players' mentality was imbalanced and they were eager to get all three points, but they accidentally conceded two goals.
Despite conceding a goal early in the game, Nantong Zhiyun's team was able to equalize the score with their relentless efforts. In the post-match conference, Xie Hui said, "The first round of league matches is often full of unknowns, and it's difficult for players to adapt quickly, which is very different from warm-up matches. Therefore, today's match was not a one-point victory, but a two-point loss." Obviously, Xie Hui was not happy with the result.
